Arthur Collins - Suicide Blues

Maybe the first of a number of songs with this title. An unhappy man lists particularly horrible ways of doing away with himself (bathing in carbolic acid, eating Paris green), but it's OK, because it's only a joke - I think. Recorded in August of 1919. Despite the "blues" in the title, this song looks backward toward the already-dying minstrel tradition rather than ahead to the blues of the 1920s.
